Recent Work

This painting of a man painting his home in the Taos Pueblo was inspired by a photo I took there several years ago. Every year they have a religious/cultural ceremony, and spruce up their homes to prepare.  Figuring out how to portray a screen window in the door was a challenge. I ended up using gauze, so this painting is also technically a multi-media work.   When I was almost finished with this piece, I was super excited to discover a sketch from Georgia O'Keefe that could have been the same scene.
